Another impressive SunSquare project was realized by our partner Koller Tende in Ascona on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
Located directly at a marina, an outstanding SunSquare installation was created around an existing fixed tension structure:
An SQK-II sun sail system pushing the limits with an impressive 75 m² of sail surface – perfectly tensioned thanks to two integrated compensators, which also effectively dampen wind movements.
The installation is complemented by a second, single-sided triangular sail covering approximately 35 m².
Together with the fixed structure, the two sail systems cover almost the entire surface of the restaurant terrace, providing extensive shade and reliable protection.
Even during rain, the terrace remains usable for guests – without the need for obstructive umbrellas or temporary solutions.
Overlooking the yacht harbor and framed by the stunning scenery of Ascona, this installation is a stylish showcase of custom-made textile architecture at the highest level.
