SATTLER SUN Tex
SunSquare and Sattler SUNTex - a partnership spanning decades. Below is an overview of the available acrylic fabric qualities:
314 - water-repellent, 290 g/m²
320 - water-repellent, 290 g/m²
321 - water-repellent, 370 g/m²
324 FIREMASTER - water-repellent, flame-retardant, 400 g/m²
Acrylic fabrics must never be cleaned with high-pressure washers, as this can damage the protective coating. It is also recommended to allow damp sails to dry completely before retracting them, and to regularly remove loose dirt to prevent staining.

Sail geometry at a glance
SunSquare systems are designed with either triangular or rectangular sails – depending on the structural conditions and specific requirements on site. Your planner or sales partner will quickly identify which geometry is best suited for your project.
Triangular sail (SQ)
Where it all began...
The first SunSquare® systems were based on the geometry of a triangular sail. Triangular sails (SQ) allow for a maximum wave length of 13 meters and a maximum extension of 7 meters in one direction. They can be manufactured either as battened sails or radial sails, offering an elegant solution for sophisticated shading concepts.
Battened sails – Classic and full of character
Proven since 1993: The SunSquare® battened sail stands out with its distinctive look and robust construction. The sail panels run parallel to the roller tube, while integrated fiberglass battens give the sail its signature slightly curved shape. Ideal for those who appreciate the classic SunSquare aesthetic.
Radial sails – Modern and dynamic
Since 2012, SunSquare® has offered the radial sail as a contemporary alternative. Without battens, it is lighter and less prone to damage. The radial arrangement of the sail panels creates an elegant and tensioned appearance. A gentle hollow cut slightly reduces the surface area and enhances the dynamic shape.

Rectangular sail (AX)
Rectangular sails (AX) allow for a maximum wave length of 5.8 meters and a maximum extension of 7 meters in one direction. They can be manufactured with battens or in a zigzag configuration.
Rectangular sails with battens
Fiberglass battens optimize the rolling behavior of the sail.
Rectangular sails with zigzag cut
To reduce wear-prone batten pockets in rectangular sails, the zigzag cut was developed.
