Customised premium sun protection

SunSquare sail system for exclusive outdoor spaces

For this private project, a custom-made sun sail system was created, featuring a total area of approximately 45 m². The sails were seamlessly adapted to the building’s varying levels and mounted directly onto the existing rafters. This results in a delicate, almost floating lightness that continues the architectural concept of the house.

The stainless steel supports were intentionally integrated discreetly into the existing terrace structure. This allows surrounding plants to grow around and embrace the construction – making the sun sail system appear not as a technical element, but as an organic part of the outdoor space.

In addition to providing effective sun protection, the system creates a high-quality extension of living space outdoors. It invites relaxed moments with family and friends and offers a sheltered, atmospheric retreat even during light rain. The adjacent water feature adds vibrancy and ensures a harmonious, tranquil overall impression.

All four supports were securely mounted to the wall using SunSquare’s extensive range of wall-mounting components. This project demonstrates how functional sun protection, architectural elegance, and emotional quality of space merge into a perfect unity.
