For the prestigious 5-star Hotel Lomnica in the High Tatras, Shadow Sys installed an exclusive triple SunSquare sun sail system. Covering a total area of 153 m², these fully automated sun sails provide superior weather protection for the hotel’s outdoor spaces. They create a luxurious open-air lounge that transforms outdoor living into an unparalleled experience — with panoramic views of the majestic Tatra peaks.

Since 1993, SunSquare has been the pioneer of automated sun sail systems, delivering premium shading solutions for hotels and catering business projects worldwide. For this installation, the sails were designed as radiant sails, crafted from high-performance Serge Ferrari Soltis W96 fabric in an elegant sand beige tone. This combination of innovative technology and sophisticated design integrates seamlessly with the hotel’s historic architecture and luxurious ambiance.

The Hotel Lomnica, originally opened in 1893 as the first hotel in the High Tatras and extensively renovated in 2016, blends tradition with modern comfort. Guests enjoy fine dining, wellness & spa, art galleries, and cultural highlights — all in a unique alpine setting.
