SunSquare Shade Sails at Château Martinette – Elegant Shading in the Heart of Provence

‍Founded in 1620, the historic Château Martinette is one of the oldest wineries in Provence. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Var region, along the banks of the Argens River between Lorgues and Le Thoronet, the estate offers a setting of natural beauty and timeless elegance.

As part of a comprehensive renovation in 2011, five striking SunSquare triangular sail systems were installed. These provide stylish and functional shading for the expansive stone terrace, blending seamlessly with the architecture and surrounding environment.

A total of approximately 220 m² of sail fabric was used, crafted from premium Soltis 92 in the color 2135 Sand Beige. These radial sails offer optimal protection from direct sunlight while creating a pleasant atmosphere for events such as seminars, wine tastings, weddings, or birthday celebrations – all now enjoyed comfortably in the shade.

A successful example of how historic charm and modern sun protection technology can be beautifully combined.
