The sail protects visitors who queue at the entrance to the castle from sun and rain.

Devin Castle

One-sided SunSquare triangle sail at Devín Castle. Elegant sun and weather protection in a historic setting — modern design harmoniously integrated.

Modern lightness for historic walls

Devín Castle, one of the most significant archaeological sites in Central Europe, stands majestically at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers. For this historically rich location, a single-sided triangular SunSquare sail was installed, showcasing how contemporary design can be sensitively integrated into a heritage setting.

The sail not only provides reliable protection from sun and weather but also adds a refined architectural accent that highlights the uniqueness of the site. Its clean lines and understated elegance complement the historic backdrop without overpowering it.

This installation demonstrates the adaptability of SunSquare—both technically and aesthetically. With minimal impact on the existing structure, a functional and inviting retreat for visitors was created, combining comfort with atmosphere.
