Customized sun protection for a modern learning and recreation area

For the Willi Resetarits educational facility in Vienna-Floridsdorf , two custom SunSquare shading solutions were implemented that harmoniously combines functionality, comfort, and architectural design.

The project features two double-sided rectangular shade sail with 33 m² of sail area. The sails were crafted from high-quality Sattler acrylic fabric 314. The warm, subtle beige tone complements the building's wooden surfaces perfectly and blends seamlessly into the modern architecture of the educational campus.

The systems shade a key outdoor area of the facility, which serves as a space for children and teenagers to relax, study, and socialize. At the same time, the shade sails effectively protect the large glass facade behind them from direct sunlight. This reduces heat buildup in the interior, creating a pleasant indoor climate that supports both daily learning activities and the use of common areas.

External sun protection plays a vital role, especially in modern educational buildings with large glass surfaces. The SunSquare shade sails provide reliable protection from the sun and heat without compromising the facility's open and inviting architecture.

The project was realized in close cooperation with Handler Bau GmbH, ensuring optimal integration of the sail system into the overall architectural concept of the educational facility.
