Hotel Ebner's Waldhof

Custom SunSquare shading for the family-run hotel on Lake Fuschl. Realised by Star-Roll GmbH.

Glass Roof Meets Custom Shading

When the sun burns through a large glass roof, things can quickly get too hot — this was exactly the challenge faced by the Ebner family from the renowned Ebner’s Waldhof on Lake Fuschl. They turned to our distribution partner Star-Roll Sun Shade Trading GmbH for a solution.

The answer: a custom-designed SunSquare sun sail system, consisting of two single-sided rectangular (trapezoidal) sails mounted above the glass roof of the indoor pool. It provides noticeable cooling and comfortable shade—all within a uniquely beautiful setting directly on Lake Fuschl.

The sails were made from the water-permeable Serge Ferrari Soltis 92 fabric in the color Sand Beige (2135).
