The renowned Hotel Torre del Mar, located on Ibiza’s Playa d’en Bossa, relies on innovative shading solutions from SunSquare to offer its guests the highest level of outdoor comfort. As part of an extensive outdoor project, six fully automated SunSquare sun sail systems were installed, covering an impressive total area of 332 m².

The sails are made from high-quality Serge Ferrari Soltis 92 fabric in an elegant champagne color. This material not only provides excellent protection from sun and heat but also stands out for its durability, UV resistance, and contemporary aesthetic.

The installation was tailored to the hotel’s architectural conditions, using both wall and ground mounting points. All systems are equipped with intelligent wind sensors that automatically respond to strong gusts – particularly from the sea. When wind speeds exceed 40 km/h, the sails retract automatically to ensure maximum safety for guests and the equipment.

Thanks to fully automated controls, the sun sails can be smoothly opened and closed at the push of a button – a major convenience for hotel staff and an added comfort for guests. The solution is not only highly functional but also blends seamlessly into the hotel’s stylish outdoor environment.

This project is a prime example of custom-designed, wind-stable, and aesthetically refined outdoor shading for premium hospitality settings.
