Private Residence Colorado

Two one-sided SunSquare systems provide stylish, fully automatic protection. Wind-controlled — developed to withstand strong downwinds from the Rocky Mountains.

SunSquare AX Systems – Designed to Withstand Rocky Mountain Winds

The exceptionally clear and linear architecture of the building demanded a high level of aesthetic refinement in the design of the sun protection solution. For the expansive courtyard area, a custom concept was realized using two single-sided AX systems by SunSquare.

These systems generously span the space, creating a pleasant atmosphere with optimal shading – all without disrupting the architectural lines. Each unit is independently controlled via a modern smart home system, offering maximum convenience.

As with all SunSquare installations, these systems are equipped with wind monitoring and specifically engineered to withstand the strong downdrafts typical of the Rocky Mountains. A prime example of how design, functionality, and technical precision come together – implemented by Blindtek Designer Systems.

The sailcloth is somewhat more prominent here – Soltis 92 material was used – purely for sun protection.
The rectangular sails match the straight lines of the building's architecture – there are no curves here.
