The climate in Singapore places high demands on shading systems. Intense sunlight, high humidity, and regular heavy rainfall require a solution that is not only visually appealing but also functions reliably over the long term.
For this private rooftop terrace, SunSquare sales partner Volker Weiss planned and installed a coupled multi-unit system consisting of two different SunSquare systems back in 2013. The installation featured a SunSquare AX-solo single rectangular system as well as a SunSquare AX-duo double rectangular system, both equipped with the high-quality Soltis W96 fabric in light grey.
The combination of the two systems allows for generous shading of the terrace areas and creates a pleasant outdoor living space. At the same time, the system provides reliable protection against the heavy rainfall typical of the region.
The durability of the system is particularly remarkable: despite the challenging climatic conditions, the SunSquare system has been operating without issues for 13 years and continues to provide the residents with comfortable sun and rain protection on their rooftop terrace every day.
This case study impressively demonstrates how SunSquare sun sails prove their long-term durability even in tropical regions and areas with heavy rainfall, enhancing high-quality outdoor spaces all year round.
