With M&G Interior Architecture, two SunSquare® sails now shade a courtyard in an operations building — offering sun and rain protection and comfort for staff.

Sun Protection for a Staff Courtyard

‍In collaboration with M&G Interior Architecture and Bauplanungs GmbH, the courtyard of an operations building was redesigned with both functionality and aesthetics in mind.
The goal: to provide employees with reliable sun and rain protection while creating a pleasant atmosphere for breaks and informal gatherings.

Two high-quality SunSquare® systems were installed:
– one SQK-I system with nearly 30 m² of sail surface
– and one double-sided rectangular AX-II system with approximately 60 m²

Both systems are equipped with wind sensors, remote control operation, and manual emergency cranks — ensuring maximum safety and ease of use.
Thanks to intelligent shading, the courtyard remains comfortably cool even on hot days, allowing staff to enjoy their lunch breaks in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
