Sun sails protect the outdoor area of the Phoenix Restaurant and invite guests to relax and come back again.

Three SunSquare sails, each with 50 m² of fabric, replace unstable umbrellas at Restaurant Phoenix in the Dreischeibenhaus Düsseldorf. Designed by Volker Weiss.

Elegant Weather Protection for the Phoenix Restaurant

At the iconic Dreischeibenhaus in Düsseldorf, the outdoor terrace of the Phoenix Restaurant has been redesigned with a high-quality SunSquare solution. Three sun sails, each with a fabric surface of 50 m², were installed in a row and manufactured as radial sails using Sattler 320 – providing reliable protection from both sun and rain.

The previously used oversized umbrellas were unstable and cumbersome to handle on a daily basis. They consumed valuable time that the staff would rather dedicate to the guests.

Volker Weiss developed the optimal solution: durable, elegant, and low-maintenance SunSquare sun sails that perfectly combine function and design.
