The first SunSquare project featuring three height adjusters – offering flexible sun protection with a stunning view of the Fortress Hohensalzburg.

Flexibility Through Height Adjustment

In April 2020, a pioneering SunSquare project was realised — the first to feature three electric height adjusters! The position of the sail can be individually and electrically adjusted at both ends of the sail as well as at the opposite motor support. This technical sophistication allows the fabric shaft to be lowered, enabling flexible shading and creating a unique spatial experience.

The sail, with a fabric area of 50 m², was designed as a radial sail and crafted from material by Austrian manufacturer Sattler, fabric type 320-923.

Directly adjacent is a swim spa, alongside a sheltered dining area with a breathtaking view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress. A place to relax, enjoy, and celebrate — protected by an architecturally refined sun sail.

The project was implemented by STAR ROLL Sun Shade Trading GmbH and impressively demonstrates how technology, design, and quality of life can merge into one.
