Zurich Opera House
Each radial sail covers 22 m² and is crafted from Sattler 321-030 – durable, weather-resistant, and elegant, perfectly suited for public spaces.
Art and Culture Meet Technology and Design
For the renowned Zurich Opera House, six freestanding yet interconnected SunSquare compensator systems were installed – an elegant ensemble of engineering and design that provides reliable protection from sun and rain.
Each of the six systems was designed as a radial sail with identical shapes and a fabric area of 22 m². The sails are made from durable, weather-resistant Sattler 321-030 material, which impresses not only with its resilience but also with its refined appearance.
The freestanding construction allows maximum flexibility in placement and use – ideal for public spaces with high demands on both aesthetics and functionality.
This project highlights the reliability and longevity of SunSquare systems – even under demanding conditions and in prestigious environments.
